Santa Maria del Mar is in the Municipio of Guanabacoa in the province of Havana, Cuba. This beach neighborhood is on the northern coast of the island, between the beaches of Bacuranao and Guanabo.

The official name, at least when it was developed, is Playa Santa Maria del Mar, but the heading word “Playa” (Beach) is usually omitted in most conversations.
